The Boston Red Sox have traded Anthony Ranaudo to the Texas Rangers for Robbie Ross.

Ross, 25, started 12 games for the Rangers last season. He struggled as a starter before moving back to the bullpen, where he enjoyed success previously.

Ranaudo, 25, made his Major League debut with the Red Sox last season, going 4-3 with a 4.81 ERA in seven starts.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have traded Travis Snider to the Baltimore Orioles for a Minor League pitcher and a player to be named later.

The deal was announced on Tuesday night.

Pittsburgh received left-hander Stephen Tarpley.

The Texas Rangers have traded three Minor Leaguers to the Milwaukee Brewers for Yovani Gallardo.

Milwaukee will receive right-handed pitchers Corey Knebel, Marcos Diplan and shortstop Luis Sardinas.

Gallardo, 28, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, went 8-11 with a 3.51 ERA for the Brewers last season.

The pitcher will make $13 million in the final year of his contract and is open to signing a long-term deal with the Rangers if everything goes well in 2015. The Brewers will pick up $4 million of Gallardo's $13 million salary.

The Washington Nationals have agreed to send Tyler Clippard to the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Yunel Escobar.

Oakland just acquired Escobar this past weekend, along with Ben Zobrist, from the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Nationals will reportedly play Escobar, who is predominately a shortstop, at second base.

The Atlanta Braves have traded Evan Gattis to the Houston Astros, according to a source.

Atlanta will receive three minor league prospects -- right-hander Mike Foltynewicz, third baseman Rio Ruiz and right-hander Andrew Thurman -- in the deal.

Gattis, 28, has 43 home runs in just 213 career games with the Braves.

The A's have acquired infielder Ben Zobrist and shortstop Yunel Escobar from the Rays for catcher John Jaso and a pair of minor league players. 

The Rays also received top shortstop prospect Daniel Robertson, minor league outfielder Boog Powell and cash considerations.

The New York Yankees have traded Manny Banuelos to the Atlanta Braves for relievers David Carpenter and Chasen Shreve.

Banuelos, 23, is a former top pitching prospect. He missed nearly all of 2012 and 2013 because of Tommy John surgery and subsequent setbacks.
